CHAPTER ONE

The fabrication of this project kerosene oven is a borrowed idea, which was modified to improve the system.

It is a manually operated type of oven which has the capability of supplying heat energy at high and low temperatures. This type of oven operates with a single point burner.

The introduction of this type of pressurized oven in the 18th century has undergone series of modification till date.

The production of this baking appliance is cost effective. This has improved the local industries/factories and has reduced the importation of foreign types of baking appliance.

The local kerosene pressurized oven is operational effective. Thus it attains a very high temperature for the convenience of baking.

 

 

CHAPTER TWO

 

LITERATURE REVIEW

The operation of this kerosene oven is an operation that best describes the theory of fluid mechanics. The kerosene in the cylinder is pressurized such that the pressure (high) will push the kerosene single point burner, kerosene and air comes out. The air supports complete combustion of the kerosene when lit up.     

Kerosene is a heavy hydrocarbon substance meaning. It is denser than gas. It disadvantages is more during operation to compare to gas. But due to its economical and high temperature production, it is considered time saving.

The oven has fiber used as a lagging material this prevents heat loss and helps conserving heat in the oven to improve the baking temperature.

The stinting colour for the compartment of the oven is to prevent heat loss due to radiation. All these are considered to improve the efficiency of the system.
