DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A DATABASE FOR ENUGU STATE RECORDS.
(CASE STUDY MINISTRY OF EDUCATION)
Database is a collection of files, and it contains files that are related in
this project, it maintains adequate database for Enugu state staff records with the format of Enugu State Ministry of Education.
In this work, we look into the activities of staff records status, which keeps tracks of worker services years, promotion time and salary, scale. It makes use of individual worker history in deciding when a worker is due for retirement either according to service years or age limits. The system used data like date of employment, last date of promotion, qualification, listing workers for promotion in the case of any upward vacancy. It makes use of the worker level in generating salary scale for workers. The system equally checks ghost workers in this ministry.
The new computer system developed is very easy to use and timely in generating reports. It takes edge over the existing system due to its accuracy in operation and very comprehensive in handling data, it is also cost effective.

This project work is focused on database for Enugu State staff records,
the program is developed in such a way that it will be able to accept and present the data staff records.
In chapter I, the introduction, statement of problem, purpose of study, aims and objectives, delimitation or scope, limitation and constraints, definition of terms are being covered.
In chapter ii, talks about literature review and in chapter iii, talks about the description and analysis of the existing system, facts finding methods used, organizational structure, objective of the existing system, input, process and output analysis, information flow diagram, problems of the existing system and justification of the new system.
In chapter iv, entails the design of output and input specification, Design of the new system, file design, procedure chart, system requirement and system flow chart.
In chapter v, covers the implementation, the program design, the program flow chart, Algorithm, sources program, Test run.
In chapter vi, dealt with the proper documentation of the new system.
Finally, chapter vii, dealt with recommendation, conclusion and bibliography.
INTRODUCTION
To any organization, Government establishment and private company the major point of call in the labour force. Many regards are given to workers in every establishment profit and non-profits oriented establishments. It is the workers in an establishments, that determines the success of such an establishment, workers relationship, co-ordination and welfare is very important to any kind of management.
There are different status of workers according to individual attainments in different areas of life as is maintained. Such individual are placed under different categories, which also attracts different benefits, Government Establishment place staff under level while private companies categories staff as senior and Junior staff.
Before any worker is employed in any company / establishment, the worker in terms of personnel information, qualification, back ground and other related information, such information helps the management to know
There information helps the management in placing the workers status, preparing pay roll records, effecting promotion and in having assured confident on its workers. It equally enables a management to know its size at any point in time and to be able to identify it workers if the need be.
