This study is aimed at investigative reporters and how they can operate under the various obstacles and still perform their roles as watch dog. It is he hope that the out come of there research would encourage more Journalists to show more interest in investigative reporting. It is also expected to help policy makers and those in power to appreciate the works of investigative journalists and not to see them as enemies who were out to ruin them. The research was also intended to add the body of existing knowledge in this area of mass communication. It is expected therefore to be useful to mass communication studies, teachers, and scholars and to all researchers in the country and be provided with the theoretical materials for further studies. The study finally stressed the need for more priority to be given to investigative journalism by the management of media organization.
