There is no gain saying, the fact that the role of journalists towards curbing the escalating crime wave in the society cannot be seen or deemed to be under estimated. Although many agents of crime control exist in Enugu metropolis which ranges from police, civil defense, law court, which could easily be envisaged by people or the populace as the major crime controlling units, it could not be seen as been perfectly stated if a particular agent is omitted.
The agent which was omitted above could be seen as those in the journalist’s trend. This researcher observed that the role of journalists towards curbing the escalating crime wave as it affects the Enugu metropolis is an action of significant. That is to say that their journals are their guns and their pens serves rightly as their bullets. Men of noble profession in journalist’s trend have changed the trends of events in Enugu metropolis today. Instilling of good moral through their calculating but piercing a message which is able to restructure and change their erred mind.
