This project is he design and construction of a voltage inverter system with trickle charging system. This device is design to provide power supply for the need of offices, household etc. In absence of NEPA power supply.
It would also prevent harm to our appliances caused by power holding company LTD (NEPA) Random power outage .
Inverter is an uninterrupted power supply which conversed from D.C to AC voltage with the help of an oscillator. This inter section consist of two stages of switching circuits which comprises of a power transistor connected in the common emitter configuration.
MOST ESSENTIAL CIRCUIT IN THIS DEVICE
TRANSFORMER: This has two parts, this is the secondary part which is the output and it produces 220 – 40 volts. The second part of it is the primary part which is the input. It has 12 volts.
OSCILLATOR: This circuit is with the integrated circuit (IC) 4047. It has a variable resistor of look and the work of this valuable resistor is to reduce or increase the frequency of the oscillator. The oscillator produces square wave form through a resistor 1.5k deluted with in two channels to two transistors which are the pre – amp driver.
PRE – CIRCUIT: The positive of this, pre – amp circuit goes to the collector of the two transistors, which the emitter of he two transistor goes top the 1.5k which is the dilutor of he transistor output There is another 1k resistor which is connected from the emitter of the pre-amp transistor to earth is; negative (-) which acts as the output filter from 1.5k, it goes to 222 resistor which gives the frequency, to the monster (mineral oxide semi – conductor field effect transistor) which is the output state of the transistor and the 22m resistor goes to the gate of the mosfet. From the gate, there is another 10k that goes to the negative for dilution. The source of the mosfet goes to the natural then the drain will go to the input of he transformer which gives the transformer a circuit of 12volts.
THE AUTOMATIC CONTROL UNIT: This control units produce all the controls that is needed to make up the aim of he entire system. These controls like “ ON” the inverter into production as soon as NEPA interrupter is expanded. This circuit ensures that, there is no line jamming is to be encounter by carrying out he exchange system property.
CHARGING SYSTEM: In this system, there are two AC relay which has the current rating of 40 Amp each. in the relay, here is also normal open and normal close, the number are terminal which is the normal close is connected to the positive terminal or he watery. The relay act as the switch of the charging system with a circuit of trickle charging system which act as the protector of the battery with a CMOS 1.C (Compreminary Mineral Oxide Semi - Conductor) and two transistor which act as the battery level indicator.
