A research abstract on Management and Operational Problems of Rural Water Supply in Nigeria (A Case Study of Water Corporation Enugu). The study was carried out under five chapters heading which were of significant to water corporation Enugu, the researcher and also other forth coming researcher. The population of the study include staffs and resident/consumers within Enugu rural water corporation. Thus, the population of the study is 200 which the sample size of is 133. It was determine using Bourleys formular method. Data collected were presented on a simple table and analyze using chi-square method. Management has been defined in many ways by different authors. The dictionary of management defines it as “The process of organizing, using and controlling human activities and other resources towards specific ends”. Making the most effective use of available resources whether in form of machines, money or people. The people responsible for the management of an organization, ie. for the directing, planning and running of its operations for the implementation of its policies and the attainment of its objectives.
According to Koontz (1991) management is the planning, organizing, leading and controlling of human and other resources to achieve organizational goal effective and efficiently. An organizations resources include assets such as people and their skill, know-how, and experience, machinery: Raw materials, computers and information technology and patents, financial capital and loyal customers and employees.

(2010) Management is all business and organizational activities is the act of getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives using available resources efficiently and effectively. Management comprises planning, organizing, stuffing, leading or directing and controlling an organization (a group of one or more people or entities) or effort for the purpose of accomplishing a goal. Resourcing encompasses the development and manipulation of human resources financial resources, technological resources and natural resources.
