Background of the Study
Fashion show as an integral part of human behavior has for many years served different but unique purposes to different people at different times. In each occasion on which such behavioural activities take place, different attires are been used according to the people. It is on this regard that the definition of fashion has been seen in different dimension by different people.
To some people fashion is just seing of cloth some other persons view it as the attire put on big different persons in different occasions.
fashion in the narrow sense of the world means the changing for of clothing. It can also be said that fashion is the crazy way of doing things. These originates from peoples need to be adorned and admired also allow the opportunity to enhance personal style indicate a position in society. Fashion is not only considered in developing argument for a market. The overall appearance (style) as well as the utility value (Fitness for purpose, after care) also have (Marika, 2012).
Also Brenda (2013) noted that fashion is the unique way by which a particular group of persons express themselves certain beautiful accessories ornament as means of promoting their ways of using a group of persons can be their culture, to different people, different accessories mean different things. In the olden days certain fashion accessories were used for certain purposes like cloths, bags or fabric, Jewelries such as earrings, Necklace, Bangles, Slippers shoes, and beads.
Here, this project is about a particular presentation of fashion items for fashion show in Enugu state.
Fashion shows are special evens that communicate a fashion story. The selection and organization of the fashions and model bookings may be done by the fashion office, whereas invitations and other arrangements may be handled by the special events department. Occasionally, fashion shows takes the form of entertainment where the models are static, standing or sitting in a constructed environment. A mid-rang of contemporary designers tends to produce their shows as the article productions with elaborate sets and added elements live music or a variety of technological components like hologram for example. Therefore the presentation of fashion items are (Bags, Beads, Ropes, Bangles, Cloths, Earrings, etc).
Alejandra, O.M (2012) opined that a rope is a group of yarns, plies, or strands that are twisted or braided together into a larger and stronger form. Ropes have tensile strength and so can be used for dragging and lifting, but are too flexible to provide compressive strength. As a result, they cannot be used for pushing or similar compressive applications. Rope is thicker and stronger than similarly constructed cord, line, string, and twine. Ropes made from metal strands are called wire rope.
Mark, K. (2012) observed that rope may be constructed of any long, stringy, fibrous material, but generally is constructed of certain natural or synthetic fibres. Synthetic fibre ropes are significantly stronger than their natural fibre counterparts, but also possess certain disadvantages, including slipperiness.
Szokolay, S.V. (1980) stated that rope is of paramount importance in fields as diverse as construction, seafaring, exploration, sports, hangings, theatre, and communications; and has been used since prehistoric times. To fasten rope, many types of knots have been invented for countless uses. Pulleys redirect the pulling force to another direction, and can create mechanical advantage so that multiple strands of rope share a load and multiply the force applied to the end. Winches and capstans are machines designed to pull ropes. There are different types of rope and they are laid or tested rope, Braid rope, Kernmattle rope, Plaited rope Endless rope.
Laid rope, also called twisted rope, is historically the prevalent form of rope, at least in modern western history. Common twisted rope generally consists of three strands and is normally right-laid, or given a final right-handed twist.
The handedness of the twist is the direction of the twists as they progress away from an observer.
